The Taleon Imperial Hotel is the only hotel in Saint Petersburg located in a historic palace of the 18th century. The hotel is a member of the Leading Hotels of the World and Virtuoso associations and the famous international magazine Condé Nast Traveler has included the Taleon Imperial Hotel in the ranking of the best hotels in the world. A spacious ballroom appeared in Kosikovsky's house in the 1840s, and was subsequently expanded and re-decorated as per design of the architect Nikolay Grebenka. In the 1850s, the piano manufacturer Lichtental held musical evenings here.

The Noble Dance Assembly (later renamed to The Noble Assembly) arranged lectures, readings of literary works, and concerts here. Many famous writers read their works in the hall: F.M. Dostoevsky, I.S. Turgenev, D.I. Pisarev, M.E. Saltykov-Shchedrin; the composer Franz Liszt performed here.

The Russian Musical Society, founded by the composer and pianist Anton Rubinstein, held concerts and meetings.

Baccarat Ballroom

Styled in Baroque and richly decorated with sculptures, mirrors and lamps, the Baccarat Ballroom in the Taleon Imperial Hotel is ideal for conferences.

The highlights of the interior are the Italian fireplace made of white marble, the crystal floor lamps from the French factory Baccarat, which gave the name to the hall, and the original type-setting parquet with parts of the rarest green oak.

In the 1920s, the inhabitants of the House of Arts - Alexander Blok, Vladimir Mayakovsky, Osip Mandelstam, Nikolay Gumilev and other famous Russian poets read their poems here.

From Pulkovo International Airport

Head north along the Pulkovo Highway in the direction of the city centre. Continue along Moskovsky Avenue for another 10 km. After crossing with Sadovaya Street, continue straight along Grivtsova Lane. Turn left after 750 meters. After 170 meters, cross the bridge and turn right onto Bolshaya Morskaya Street. At the intersection with Nevsky Avenue, turn right onto Bolshaya Morskaya Street.
